Goondock Times

Lake Shore Park
At Lake Shore Park, teams found the Goondock Times that informed them that the villainous Fratelli's had staged a successful jail break. The newspaper, oddly enough, was printed on a square piece of paper. Besides the Fratelli story, there were two other stories on the newspaper: one about the legend of One-Eyed Willy and another about Astoria's fine beaches that talked about cranes and their ability to hide amongst their surroundings. This second story was used as a hint to look for hidden messages. It also talked about local artists highlighting cranes in their artwork.

For this clue, teams had to use two items from the bag of goodies they received at the beginning of the game - the origami instructions and the marker. The square piece of paper was the hint to use the origami instructions. Teams had to fold the newspaper into the shape of a crane. Once they had a crane, they had to use the marker to reveal hidden words on the face of the crane. The crane revealed that teams should go to Gomes Park in Fremont.
